In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 12.01 am on 23 April 2025 to 5.30 am on 31 December 2029, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:

1. Sha Tin Road northbound from its junction with Lion Rock Tunnel Road to a point about 190 meters north of its junction with Sha Lek Highway; and
2. Sha Lek Highway northbound from its junction with Sha Tin Road to a point about 40 meters north of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
