ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Speed Limit on West Kowloon Highway
In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 p.m. on 8 May 2025 to 6.00 a.m. of the following day, the following road sections of West Kowloon Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:
(i) West Kowloon Highway northbound from a point about 100 metres north of its junction with Yen Chow Street West to a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Tonkin Street West will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
(ii) West Kowloon Highway northbound from a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Tonkin Street West to a point of its junction with Tsing Kwai Highway will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
